I'm a mission-driven product designer, born and raised in Wisconsin and spent some time in Minnesota and Iowa. Now, I call Southern California home (the weather's definitely better here, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss the seasons from time to time).
In my free time, there’s a strong chance I’m trying to improve myself physically and mentally in some capacity. Whether it's catching up on podcasts, experiencing music and films, strumming on the guitar, or picking heavy things up and putting them back down, it’s important for me to always keep enriching my life and reaching my goals. I also have creative projects keeping me busy.
Broadly stated, my goal is as simple as this:
I want to help people.
While technology is getting more advanced, we are losing intimacy, empathy, and compassion for each other.
We need to be more mindful in designing for human beings.
To reflect that, I strive to craft products uniquely effective—finding out what works and what doesn’t, and solving the problems specific to the individuals using those products.
As a designer, I'm interested in actually solving problems and not just vetting solutions presented to me.
